My Graduation Day – A Dream Come True at Middlesex University
My Graduation Day – A Dream Come True at Middlesex University
On June 26th, 2025, a long-awaited dream finally came true – I officially graduated from Middlesex University with First Class Honours in BSc Information Technology.
It’s still hard to put into words the emotions I felt on that day. Walking across the stage in front of my peers, teachers, and my proud family, I couldn’t help but think back to where this journey began.
Back in 2016, I first heard about Middlesex University. Even then, something clicked. I knew deep down this was where I belonged. Life, however, had different plans for me. I faced delays due to the pandemic and my father’s illness, and eventually, his passing in 2021. It was a difficult time, and I had to step up to support my family. But I never let go of my dream.
Fast forward to 2024, I finally moved to the UK and started my final year at Middlesex. I brought with me not only my academic experience from Pakistan but also years of professional knowledge in software development and web design. Middlesex welcomed me with open arms, accepted my advanced diploma, and allowed me to complete my degree in just one year. That one year was intense, emotional, challenging – but also one of the best experiences of my life.
The graduation ceremony was filled with joy, laughter, and many proud tears. Wearing the cap and gown, holding my degree, and hearing my name announced with “First Class Honours” made every sleepless night and every challenge worth it. I looked around at my classmates and teachers – people who had supported me, inspired me, and stood by me through this journey.
Now, with this degree in hand, I feel ready for the next chapter. I want to use my skills and experience to grow my IT business and help others build their digital presence – just like I built mine. And of course, Middlesex will always be a part of my story.
To every student out there holding on to a dream – don’t give up. Delay doesn’t mean denial. Stay patient, stay focused, and when your time comes, walk across that stage with pride.
Thank you, Middlesex University, for shaping not just my career, but my confidence and my future.
